Salmon packages are so easy to make and so delicious! You can basically make them with any vegetables that you can find in your house, broccoli, spinach, tomatoes - anything!
I'm going to show you my favorite combination! Something that I always aim for when I make the packages is to have as many colors as possible!
Some of the great things about this meal is that you can prepare the package in the oven but also on the grill, and you don't really have to check it and it is so hard to fail at making this!
What you need for one package:
A portion sized piece of salmon (frozen or fresh, but if its frozen just let it thaw first).
A teaspoon of olive oil
half a red onion
A third of a bell pepper
Step1: pre heat your oven to 225 degrees Celsius.
Step2: cut your vegetables.
Step3: take a piece of aluminum foil big enough to wrap it around all the ingredients that are going to be inside (so about 30x30 cm). Spread it out on a flat surface.
Step4: pour the olive oil on to the middle of the aluminum foil and place your piece of salmon on top (the oil prevents the salmon to sticking to the foil).
Step5: put your vegetables on top and then season it with salt and pepper and then put the butter on top.
Step6: wrap the aluminum foil around the food and make sure that the re are no holes in the foil so that the sauce wont run out of the package, because then half of the taste will disappear.
Step7: put the package in your oven for about 30 to 45 minutes.
Serve with boiled potatoes and a sauce made of creme fraiche and chives.
